Cong demonstrates across Odisha over crime against women

Bhubaneswar: Congress leaders and workers staged demonstration at district headquarters across Odisha today protesting the alleged increase in crime against women and minor girls in the state.

Led by Jatani MLA and senior Congress leader Suresh Routray, many party leaders demonstrated in front of the office of ADM here holding party flags. Scenes were similar at various district headquarters in the state.

Routray, in his reaction, came down heavily on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik besides criticising the State Government and terming it as an ‘incapable’ one for failing to maintain law and order.

The party has decided to submit memorandum to the district Collectors in this regard after demonstrations.
