Hundreds of Congress workers today ransacked the block development officer (BDO’s) office in Nuagada of Odisha’s Gajapati district protesting against returning of ration cards provided under the National Food Security Act (NFSA).

According to reports hundreds of Congress workers who were staging a demonstration shouting slogans in front of the BDO’s office in Nuagada protesting against returning of ration cards suddenly went berserk and vandalized property inside the office.
The agitators also allegedly thrashed the IIC of Khajuripada police station who tried to resist from vandalizing government property, reports added.
