Congress leader Mahendra Naik joins BJD in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Congress leader Mahendra Naik joined Biju Janata Dal (BJD) ahead of bypoll to Jharsuguda Assembly Constituency in Odisha.

The Congressman was officially inducted to Odisha’s ruling party in presence of BJD Rajya Sabha Member Manas Mangaraj during a special programme ‘Mishran Parva’ at the BJD party office here today.

Earlier, Mahendra Naik was the MLA candidate fielded by the Congress from Jharsuguda in 2019 Assembly Elections in Odisha. He lost to BJD candidate Naba Kishore Das in the poll.
