Congress trying to unite the country, Chowkidar is involved in theft: Rahul

Bhubaneswar: Congress is trying its best to unite the country. This is in a process of connecting every village, town with all parts of India. On the other hand BJP led by Prime Minister is pursuing divisive policy in the name of cast, creed, religion, alleged AICC President Rahul Gandhi.

In Paribartan Samkalp Samabesh organised at Bargarh, Gandhi criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Rahul said, once upon a time Bargarh was called “Rive Bowl” of Odisha. But now the farmers here are committing suicide. Every day, somewhere in India, a farmer is taking this extreme step. Naveen Patnaik promised to construct cold stores and provide drinking water to all. But that didn’t happen. Naveen Patnaik promised to provide 2 lakh employments every year. But that was not materialized and now Odisha is a centre of unemployment. Lakhs of youth from this state going other states in search of jobs. Prime Minister is talking much about farmers in his speech. But he has done nothing for the farmers, rather he waived off 3.5 lakh crores debt of 15-20 billionaires of the country. Congress promised to waive off debt of farmers, give remunerative price and restore Land rights of tribals and farmers. Now it is being done in letter and spirit. Prime Minister Modi tried thrice to stop or change the Land acquisition bill in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, Rahul alleged.

He said, congress will never give false promises like depositing 15 lakh rupees in every Indian’s account and providing job to 2 crore youth every year, like  Modi. He himself saying as Chowkidar of the country, but in Rafale deal he is involved in the biggest corruption. Odisha is lagging behind in Education and Health care sector. Both Naveen Patnaik and Narendra Modi want to privatize these two sectors to satisfy their billionaire friend. But congress will provide healthcare and higher education in minimum expenses and government money will be utilized in these two. Odisha is governed by 5/6 bureaucrats and Naveen is managed by remote control which is in Narendra Modi’s hand, Rahul said. He also said, Congress will take proper action in 5 thousand crore chit fund scam and 50 thousand crore mining scam in Odisha.

Niranjan Patnaik, President Odisha PCC said the chief minister of the state has done nothing and didn’t spend even one rupee for the farmers in last 18 years. Now to woo the voters, he is shading crocodile tears and implementing schemes like KALIA to distribute money. In Bargarh 41 farmers have committed suicide, he said. Congress will waive off debt, give remunerative price, and provide solar pumps and financial support to the farmers for five years. Also it will set up and women finance commission, 33 percent reservation for women in govt. jobs will be made. Cold storage and food processing units will be set up in the state, he assured.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Odisha Congress Pravari Jitender Singh, Odisha CLP leader Narasingha Mishra, former minister Bhakta Das, Jagannath Patnaik, former PCC president Sarat Patnaik, Jayadev Jena, senior leader Santosh singh Saluja were present on the dais  and  Bargarh district Congress president Satya Bhusan Sahu gave the welcome speech.
