Contractor fired at, injured in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur town

Two unidentified youths fired at a contractor at Alipingal bazaar in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpurtown today injuring him on his thigh and fled from the spot.

Reports said one Nagendra Jena, a contractor hailing from nearby Salagan village was fired at by two unidentified youths at the Alipingal bazaar in Jagatsinghpur town while he was on his way to the bazaar on a motorbike from his home today morning.

The unidentified youths who were talking to each other suddenly fired one round at Jena injuring him on his thigh and fled the spot.

While police is investigating the matter, Jena has been shifted to the Jagatsinghpur district headquarters hospital, reports said. The cause of the firing is not yet known.
