Dhauli: A Sub Inspector of Dhauli Police Station sustained injuries in an attack allegedly by drug peddlers during a raid at Sisupalgarh area on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.

Four accused persons have been detained in this connection for questioning.

According to reports, a police team led by Dhauli PS Sub Inspector Santosh Bal had conducted a raid based on the input on illegal drug trade at Sisupalgarh village late on Friday night. During the raid, some drug peddlers suddenly attacked the police official severely injuring his head.

The injured SI was rushed to the Capital Hospital for treatment.

However, the police team managed to nab four accused persons during the attack.
