Cop on duty attacked with arrow in Odisha’s Sundargarh
Rourkela: A police official was critically injured in arrow attack while conducting a raid on an illegal liquor manufacturing unit in Odisha’s Sundargarh district today afternoon.
Tensa Police Outpost In-charge Ashok Kumar Behera raided a place in Tensa Zero Point at around 4.30 PM based on reliable information. While performing his duty, Ashok Kumar was attacked with an arrow by an illegal liquor trader fearing arrest.
The police official laid down unconscious after the arrow pierced through his chest whereas the illegal liquor trader managed to escape.
With the help of locals, the police official was admitted to the Tensa Hospital. Later he was shifted to the Rourkela Government Hospital after his condition deteriorated.
