Coronavirus claims 12 more lives in Odisha; toll rises to 1,284

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll increased to 1,284 in Odisha with 12 more patients under treatment succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.

“Regret to inform the demise of twelve #COVID19 positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” informed State Health & Family Welfare Department today.

The fresh deaths were reported from 9 districts. While 2 each died of COVID-19 in Khordha, Jharsuguda and Nuapada districts, 1 each death case was registered in Nabarangpur, Puri, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Cuttack and Ganjam districts in the last 24 hours.

Here’re details of 12 new COVID-19 deaths in Odisha:

1.A 60-year-old male of Nabarangpur who was also suffering from Hypertension.

2.A 59-year-old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Hypertension.

3.An 80-year-old male of Puri who was also suffering from Hypertension, T2DM, COPD.

4.An 80-year-old male of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from CVA, Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, CKD.

5.A 70-year-old female of Jharsuguda district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

6.A 58-year-old male of Jharsuguda district who was also suffering from Hypertension.

7.A 77-year-old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus, Hypothyroidism.

8.A 59-year-old male of Sambalpur district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension.

9.A 35-year-old male of Cuttack district who was also suffering from Hypertension.

10.A 63-year-old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

11.A 22-year-old male of Nuapada district.

12.A 55-year-old male of Nuapada district.
