Coronavirus now has a sweet avatar in India

Kolkata: A famous Bengali sweet shop in Jadhavpur in West Bengal has come up with unique desserts  ‘Corona Sandesh’ and ‘Corona Cake’ to spread awareness about the deadly disease Coronavirus that has claimed 114 lives in the country so far.

The Corona Sandesh is shaped like coronavirus, a red-coloured spherical body covered with spikes while the cakes and cupcakes have been designed with exquisitely detailed icing and flourish to resemble the virus.

However,  the Corona Sandesh is not for sale  as the shop owner has decided to offer it free of cost to customers, who spread awareness about the highly-infectious COVID-19. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee, a few days ago, gave permission to the sweet brand with multiple outlets to remain open for hours during the nationwide lockdown.
