Coronavirus outbreak: After Bhubaneswar, disinfection process begins in Rourkela

Rourkela: After capital city Bhubaneswar, the authorities today began disinfection process in urban areas under Rourkela Municipal Corporation (RMC) in Sundargarh district in the wake of deadly novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in the country.

In the morning, the firefighters were engaged in disinfecting a major road upto 1 km from Ambedkar Chhak in Udit Nagar to a local market in Rourkela.

The disinfection process will continue till next few days in the Steel City, source said.

Meanwhile, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) continued disinfectant spraying activity along the roads in the state capital. The chemicals are being sprayed in various offices, market complexes, roads, boundary walls and shops located at Bapuji Nagar, Janpath, CRPF Square, Fire Station Square, Siripur Chhak, Ganganagar Chhak and Baramunda area to make the city clean.
