Coronavirus scare: Chhatra Bazar vegetable market relocated in Cuttack

Cuttack: Laying emphasis on social distancing to combat novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Cuttack administration has relocated the vegetable market at Chhatra Bazar to Badambadi to minimise crowd.

In the morning, the vegetable vendors were found sitting on the stretch between Badambadi Puja Mandap and Madhupatna Square in Cuttack. The vendors have been asked to sit maintaining at least 8-ft gap from each other. The customers have been directed to maintain social distancing upto 1 metre while buying vegetables from the vendors.

Meanwhile, the Unit-1 market has been shifted to Unit-1 Boys’ High School playground this morning in Bhubaneswar.

Yesterday, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) had shifted the vegetable market at Unit-1 to Adivasi Ground and sports ground at the same area to decongest the crowd. However, the market was relocated again to another location today following violations of social distancing norms.
