Nuapada:  In a tragic incident, a couple reportedly died of electrocution in Jonk area of Odisha's Nuapada district here today. The deceased were identified as Rameshwar Rout and his wife Bimala Rout of Parkod village within Jonk police limits here.

As per reports, the duo had barricaded their agriculture field with electric fence to ward off cattle and other wild animals from entering the area and destroying crops.

On Tuesday, they were working in the field when they accidentally came in touch with the live wire and were electrocuted.
