In a tragic incident, a couple was killed in a road mishap near Bhagabati temple at Kajalakana chhak in Choudwar in Odisha’s Cuttack district today.

However, the couple’s 12-year-old son had a miraculous escape and has been shifted to SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack.

The tragic incident occurred when the car in which the family was travelling was hit by a speeding truck from the rear following which it smashed into a tree on the roadside near Bhagabati temple.

The boy’s father, who was killed in the accident, has been identified as one Siba Shankar Das of Garrage Chhak area of Bhubaneswar.
