COVID-19: 29 new cases detected in Odisha Capital, tally at 479

Bhubaneswar: As many as 29 new COVID-19 cases were detected in Bhubaneswar today taking the tally in Odisha Capital to 479.

Official sources said while 14 new positive cases are local contact cases, 14 cases are from quarantine centres. One 34-year-old female employee of a COVID hospital in Bhubaneswar contracted the virus today, the sources added.

Here’re details of the new positive cases detected in Odisha Capital:

While 277 COVID-19 patients recovered so far in Bhubaneswar, six died of the disease. The total number of active cases in the city stands at 195.

The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation officials said further contact tracing is still continuing. Primary contacts and nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitised & will be under active surveillance.
