COVID-19: 53 more positive cases detected in Odisha’s Cuttack city

Cuttack: As many as 53 new COVID-19 cases were detected in Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) area today taking the total number of positive cases in the city to 1,721.

While 19 persons from containment zone in the city tested positive for the deadly virus, 10 positive cases were local contacts. The CMC data showed the fresh 10 local contact cases include three COVID warriors.

Six cases were detected from institutional quarantine centres in the city whereas 18 persons tested positive while being in home quarantine.

A total of 912 persons recovered from the infection so far. The number of active cases in the city stands at 799 while 10 patients succumbed to the virus.
