Bhubaneswar: Four doctors and two attendants of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here were sent on mandatory quarantine for 21 days today after a road accident victim  whom they had treated tested positive for COVID-19.

The accident victim is a 42-year-old male from Mumbai in Maharashtra and a truck driver by profession. He had a met a road accident in Odisha recently and was admitted to the premier hospital  in the state capital.

During the treatment period, he tested positive for coronavirus. However, he has not been added in Odisha's COVID-19 tally and is counted in the state of Maharashtra.

So far,  63,478 swab samples have been tested in the state. Out of them, 394 persons tested positive for the virus including  306 active cases.  While 85 patients have so far recovered, three people lost their lives due to the deadly virus.
