Bhubaneswar: A COVID-19 patient of Odisha's Sundargarh district has recovered and will be discharged from hospital soon, Health and Family Welfare Department sources said.

A 67-year-old man and an 18-year-old boy of Bisra area in the district had tested positive for the virus and were admitted to the Hi-Tech Covid Hospital in Rourkela.

With this recovery, the number of recovered cases in the state now stands at 19.

On the other hand, as many as 1197 samples were tested in Odisha yesterday, which is the highest so far, and no new cases were found.

A total of 6734 samples have been tested till date while 60 of those tested positive. Number of active cases in the state stands at 40.
