COVID-19: Banking hours revised in this Odisha district

Berhampur: In view of the rising temperature and to control crowd in  banks  as a preventive measure for COVID-19, the Ganjam district administration has effected a change in the working hours of banks with effect from today.

It also extended the transaction duration of the banks by an hour. All banks will  now remain open from 7 am to 2 pm.Earlier, the banking hours was from 10 am to  4 pm.

“The decision was taken to ensure social distancing and to avoid sunstroke,” said Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange.

Meanwhile, people of the district who returned from other states post the lockdown have been requested to fill a Google form to help the administration in its fight against coronavirus.
