COVID-19: Bus movement between Bhadrak and Kolkata suspended

Bhadrak: In view increasing cases of COVID-19, the district administration ordered to suspend passenger bus services between Bhadrak and hotspot Kolkata with immediate effect.

Since Kolkata has turned into a hotspot city for COVID-19, the inter-state movement of buses from and to West Bengal may increase more number of COVID cases in Bhadrak district.

Due to such plying of buses, there is every possibility of Bhadrak district being affected. In order to curb any spread of COVID-19, it is hereby ordered that, there shall be no plying of bus from Bhadrak to Kolkata and vice versa until further orders, an order issued by Bhadrak Collector said today.

Worth mentioning, the COVID cases in Bhadrak district is on rise after inter-state bus services resumed following phases of lockdown.

Currently, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the district is 295, of which 31 are active and 261 patients have recovered from the disease.
