COVID-19: Containment zone order extended in Odisha’s Niliabag

Balasore: After detection of seven more cases of COVID-19 in Balasore, the district administration today extended the containment zone order in Niliabag area under Balasore Municipality for another seven days.

In larger public interest and with a view to contain the spread of COVID-19, Balasore District Collector K. Sudarshan Chakravarthy directed the containment in Niliabag area will continue for seven days effective from April 25 midnight till midnight of May 2 midnight, an order issued by the Balasore Collectorate stated.

Restriction has been imposed on public on entry into and exit from the containment zone.

After the first positive case in the district was detected, the administration had issued a containment zone order in the area on April 4.

So far, the number of active cases in Balasore district stood at 10.
