Bhubaneswar: Acting on State Government's order to enforce COVID-19 guidelines, Odisha Police has collected fine amount of over Rs 25 lakh from violators in last 24 hours in the State.
A total of Rs 25,07,900 fine amount has been collected from 9,400 persons on charges of violating COVID-19 protocols in different parts of the State on the first day of the special COVID enforcement drive, Odisha Police informed it on its official Twitter handle today.

Intensifying the COVID-19 enforcement drive led by SPs, DCPs and senior police officers, Odisha Police has engaged 136 platoon forces in entire State to carry out checking for usage of face masks and implement COVID norms.
Worth mentioning that the State Government has instructed the authorities to strictly enforce the COVID-19 guidelines across the State for 10 days with effect from April 7 to 17 to contain spread of deadly virus.
