Covid-19 fallout: Indian Railways cancels these trains; see details here

Bhubaneswar: Keeping in view the raging second wave of Covid-19 and the lockdown guidelines issued by the Odisha government as well as due to poor patronisation, the Indian Railways today decided to cancel some local passenger or MEMU trains and intra-state special trains.

Five pairs of local passenger or MEMU trains were cancelled up to May 31, 2021 from both the directions.

These cancelled local passenger or MEMU trains are as follows:
08456/08455 Bhubaneswar-Kendujhargarh-Bhubaneswar Special
08412/08411 Bhubaneswar-Bhadrak-Bhubaneswar Special
08438/08437 Cuttack-Bhadrak-Cuttack Special
08461/08462 Cuttack-Paradeep-Cuttack Special
08454/08453 Cuttack-Bhadrak-Cuttack Special

Also, three pairs of local passenger/MEMU trains were cancelled on May 22, 23, 26, 29 and 30, 2021 from both the directions.

08428/08427 Puri-Angul-Puri Special
08432/08431 Puri-Cuttack-Puri Special
08433/08434 Bhubanewar-Palasa-Bhubaneswar Special

Apart from these, some local passenger/MEMU Special trains and some Express Special trains were cancelled on nominated days. These cancelled trains are as follows:

08528/08527 Visakhapatnam-Raipur-Visakhapatnam Special from Visakhapatnam from May 24 to 31 and from Raipur from May 24 to June 1, 2021 will remain cancelled.

08301/08302 Sambalpur-Rayagada-Sambalpur Special from both the directions on May 22, 23, 29 and 30, 2021 will remain cancelled.

08445/08446 Bhubaneswar-Jagadalpur-Bhubaneswar Special from Bhubaneswar from May 23 to 31, 2021 and from Jagadalpur from May 24 to June 1 will remain cancelled.

08515/08516 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Special from Visakhapatnam from May 22 to 31 and from Kirandul from May 23 to June 1, 2021 will remain cancelled.

08493/08494 Bhubaneswar-Balangir-Bhubaneswar Special from both the directions on May 29 and 30, 2021 will remain cancelled.

02892/02891 Bhubaneswar-Bangiriposi-Bhubaneswar Special from Bhubaneswar on May 29 and 30 and from Bangiriposi on May 30 and 31, 2021 will remain cancelled.

Similarly, three pairs of special trains will remain cancelled partially on nominated days/dates as per the following:

08428/08427 Puri-Angul-Puri Special on May 24, 25, 27, 28 and 31, 2021 will run between Puri and Talcher and will remain cancelled between Talcher and Angul from both the directions.

02097/02098 Bhubaneswar-Junagarh Road-Bhubaneswar Special from Bhubaneswar between May 23 to 31 and from Junagarh Road between May 24 to June 1, 2021 will run between Bhubaneswar and Rayagada and will remain cancelled between Rayagada and Junagarh Road from both the directions.

08301/08302 Sambalpur-Rayagada-Sambalpur Special between May 24 and 31 (except May 29 and 30) will run between Sambalpur and Titlagarh and will remain cancelled between Titlagarh and Rayagada from both the directions.

Due to poor patronization the railways also cancelled 02201/02202 Sealdah-Puri-Sealdah Special from Sealdah w.e.f. May 19 and from Puri w.e.f. May 20, 2021 till further advice.
