COVID-19: Foreign returnee employees of Odisha IT companies asked for registration
Bhubaneswar: In the wake of coronavirus outbreak, the Electronics and Information Technology Department of the Odisha Government has directed all IT/ITES companies in the state to register details of foreign returnee employees through online portal covid19.odisha.gov.in.
Non-declaration by any such employee is a punishable offence under Regulations for prevention and containment of coronavirus (COVID-19), official sources said.
Odisha Government’s website https://covid19.odisha.gov.in became functional from March 17 for self-registration of foreign returnees in view of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) outbreak.This should be done within 24 hours of arrival with basic details and phone numbers. However advance registration before arrival will be highly preferable. They will be required to be in home quarantine for 14 days. They will be given an incentive of Rs 15,000 for registration and home isolation.
