COVID-19: Here’re details of 63 new positive cases in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: COVID-19 tally in Odisha rose to 1723 with 63 fresh cases reported in 15 districts today, informed State Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department.

A total number of 4259 samples were tested on Thursday, of which 63 were found positive for COVID-19. Out of 63 cases, 61 are found in quarantine centres and 2 are local contacts. With this, the total number of active cases of COVID-19 mounted to 827.  While 887 patients have recovered so far, the State reported 7 deaths as on May 29.

Of 63 positive cases, the highest number of cases were reported from Khordha district (12) followed by Jagatsinghpur (11) and Dhenkanal (9) in past 24 hours. The remaining cases were reported from Ganjam (4), Balasore (3), Cuttack (3), Nayagarh (7), Balangir (6) and Sundargarh (2).  Similarly, the districts Puri, Mayurbhanj, Sambalpur, Koraput, Jharsuguda and Nabarangpur registered one each.
