Jajpur: After more number of COVID-19 positive cases were detected in Jajpur district, the administration today declared five more villages as containment zones.

In larger public interest and with a view to contain the spread of COVID-19, District Collector Ranjan Kumar Das declared the following areas as containment zones.

The containment order was imposed in Katikata panchayat till 6 am on May 13. The panchayat was already declared as containment zone on April 26.

Bibhutipur(one-foruth) and Merdha villages under Gopalpur panchayat have been declared as containment zones.

Depura, Kuans and Dahanhata villages under Dahanhata panchayat have also been announced as containment zone.

Official sources said these villages have been declared as the containment zones from 6.00 AM on April 30 to 6.00 AM on May 13.

No public will be allowed to move into the containment zone and the inhabitants within the containment zone will not move out.

All the inhabitants within the containment zones shall strictly remain in home. All the shopping establishment of whatsoever nature shall continue to remain closed.

The supply of essentials commodities and medical requirements will be ensured through various teams formed by Jajpur Administration. The following officers are hereby declared as the Nodal Officers to ensure smooth supply of essentials commodities and other facilities in the containment zones.
