COVID-19: Matric Exam Answer Sheets evaluation from tomorrow; teachers to follow precautions  

Bhubaneswar: With evaluation of annual Matric exam answer sheets will begin as per schedule on March 18, the School and Mass Education Department has issued special precautionary measures for evaluators to avoid spread of coronavirus that has claimed over 5,000 live across the world.

To avoid huge gathering at the evaluation centres, checking of answer sheets will be done subject-wise. The department concerned instructed this to all DEOs, BEOs and Chief Examiners through video conference yesterday. As per the guidelines issued by department, the evaluators have been asked to use sanitizer and maintain distance from each other.

The evaluation will be held in three phases from 8.30 am till 4.30 pm till April 10.

Worth mentioning, total 16,000 teachers will be engaged at 61 centres across the state. The annual High School Certificate (HSC) exam, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) was held from February 19 to March 2. As many as 5.60 lakh students had appeared the examination.
