Bhubaneswar: Media Advisor to Odisha Government and BJD leader Manas Mangaraj tested positive for COVID-19. In a tweet, Mangaraj stated the test report of his samples mentioned he is COVID positive.
After his health condition deteriorated, Mangaraj has been admitted to a COVID hospital.
He also requested in the tweet to people who came in contact with him in past few days to get tested.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik called up Mangaraj and enquired about his health conditions. Patnaik also called up Pottangi MLA Pitam Padhi and wished him speedy recovery.
Yesterday, Bhubaneswar North MLA Susant Rout, Berhampur MLA Bikram Panda and Bari MLA Sunanda Das tested positive for the virus.
Earlier, other legislators who tested positive were Chandbali MLA Byomakesh Ray, Baramba MLA Debi Prasad Mishra, Bhubaneswar (Central) MLA Ananta Narayan Jena, Bhadrak MLA Sanjib Mallick, Khandapada MLA and Editor of ‘Sambad’ Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, Polasara MLA Srikant Sahu, Remuna MLA Sudhanshu Shekhar Parida and Salepur MLA Prasant Behera.
Rural Development and Labour Minister Susanta Singh and Higher Education and Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo also tested positive for the virus.
