COVID-19: No more dance performances in bars, clubs in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: As part of the precautionary measures, the Odisha Government today directed to stop dance performances in all bars and clubs across the state capital from today.

As per direction of Khordha Collector Sitanshu Rout and Excise Superintendent Prasanna Acharya, no type of dance performances will be staged in bars and clubs starting from this evening to prevent spread of the coronavirus.

Earlier, the Twin City Commissionerate Police ordered closure of all shopping malls in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack from March 16 to March 31 to check spread of the killer virus. Prior to that,  the Odisha Government announced closure of all educational institutions,  swimming pools, gyms and cinemas across the state till March 31.
