COVID-19: Odisha receives 20,000 antigen test kits

Bhubaneswar: Couple of days after the Odisha government announced to carry out antigen test of persons with suspected COVID-19 symptoms, a total of 20,000 rapid antigen test kits arrived at Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) in Bhubaneswar and were sent to all districts and hospitals.

Official sources said as many as 4,700 antigen test kits have been kept as a reserve at the RMRC. The SCB Medical College and Hospital received 1,500 kits whereas the AHRCC in Cuttack got 500 kits. Other medical college and hospitals received 1,000 kits each.

The Ganjam district received 3,000 antigen test kits whereas Gajapati district got 500 kits.

All the 32 District Headquarters Hospitals got 150 kits each, the official sources added.

Till now the State has reported 10,624 positive cases for COVID-19.
