COVID-19: Three more test positive, Odisha tally rises to 176

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in the Odisha reached 176 today evening with three more positive cases being detected in the State.

Official sources said while one positive case is a 49-year-old male from Rourkela and has recent travel history to Kolkata, the other one is a 40-year-old female from Balasore district.

The sources added the 49-year-old male person in Rourkela has been in quarantine when his samples were collected for test.

The female tested positive for the virus in Balasore has been admitted to hospital, the sources said.

The third positive case was detected in Jajpur. With this the total number of COVID-19 cases in Jajpur district is 53.

Official sources said the fresh positive case in Jajpur is a 58 years old male. He has a recent travel history to Kolkata. He has been in quarantine when his samples tested positive for the virus.

Contact tracing and follow-up action are being done, the sources informed.

Today so far a total of seven cases have been reported in the State.

So far, the number of active cases is at 115. A total of 60 persons recovered from the infection while one died in the State.
