COVID-19 pandemic: 4.86 lakh people registered so far to return to Odisha

Bhubaneswar: As many as 4.86 lakh people keen to return to Odisha have registered on the portal launched by the State government within last 48 hours, said an official today.

Worth mentioning, the Odisha government launched the portal, www.covid19.odisha.gov.in on Friday for registration of names of persons wishing to return to Odisha after the lockdown ends.

Odisha government’s Chief Spokesperson on COVID-19 Subroto Bagchi said around 6798 panchayat nodal officers have been provided training to ensure hassle-free registration of persons wants to return to the State.

He further informed that out of 111 positive cases detected in Odisha so far, 80% are asymptomatic.

The Supply Chain Committee are monitoring the supply of essential items in the State. This apart, the committee will look into seamless harvest of rabi crop in 17 districts and distribution of kharif crop loan distribution for 2020.

So far, 111 cases of COVID-19 were detected in Odisha. The number of active cases is 73. While 37 cured of the infection, one died.
