Bhubaneswar: As Odisha is witnessing a sharp rise in COVID cases over last few weeks, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today urged the people of Odisha to strictly adhere to mask-wearing norm to keep the virus at bay.
Patnaik took to Twitter and said, “The risk of COVID-19 pandemic is not over yet. Please wear mask to keep yourself and others safe from the infection.”

In view of rise in cases, the state Government recently imposed the face mask mandate for people in the Twin City of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
Today, the state reported 743 fresh cases, highest in last several months. Khordha district recorded highest 303 cases, followed by Cuttack (115) and Sundargarh (65). With the fresh infections, the state’s total caseload surged to 12,95, 328, including 3,878 active cases.
