Bhubaneswar:  Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary today informed that Rapid Antibody test for COVID-19  will be introduced in the state capital by the end of this week.

Briefing mediapersons, the BMC Commissioner said a target has been set to conduct 2000 to 2,500 tests. Micro plans are being made on how and in which areas the test will be conducted. It is a part of the serological survey. A team from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) will collaborate with  the existing teams here for conduct of the tests.

On speculations doing rounds regarding announcement of a shutdown in the state  capital, Chaudhary said, "shutdown is a well thought process. As of now, there is no such discussions in this regard. So let's not go with the rumours. We will inform when any such decision is taken."
