COVID-19 scare: Leaves of Govt officials cancelled in Puri

Puri: Taking precautionary measure to prevent spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Puri district administration has cancelled the leaves of all the government employees till March 31.

Issuing a directive in this regard on Sunday, Puri Collector Balwant Singh said that no employee will be allowed to leave the district headquarters till March 31.

As per the directive, the government offices will remain opened on all the holidays during the period and no leave application will be granted.

Meanwhile, the police personnel along with officials of RTO and Health Department are engaged for checking all the vehicles en route to the pilgrim town at Toll gate in Pipili today. The District Collector has asked the officials to return the vehicles and passengers from Pipili if required.
