COVID-19 surge: Odisha makes mask mandatory in these institutions

Bhubaneswar: In the wake of a surge in COVID-19 cases and to curb any further spread of the viral infection, the Odisha government today made the usage of masks mandatory in certain institutions.

Taking to its Twitter handle, the Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) department wrote, “As #COVID19 cases are witnessing a surge across the Country and State, #Odisha Government has decided to enforce usage of masks in @HFWOdisha (all health institutions). All healthcare providers, officials and persons providing laboratory services etc must wear masks. #OdishaCares.”

“If you experience symptoms like cold, cough, fever and sore throat etc then isolate yourself and go for the COVID-19 test. Wear a facemask properly whenever you go outside, avoid crowded places and maintain hand hygiene to protect yourself from coronavirus,” the H&FW department earlier advised.
