COVID-19 tally in Odisha increases to 209 with three new cases

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha climbed to 209 after three new positive cases were detected today afternoon.

Official sources said one positive case was detected from Naugaon in Jagatsinghpur district. The patient is a 70 years old male and has a recent travel history to West Bengal, the sources added.

The other two positive cases were reported from Balasore district. The sources said fresh cases two cases from Balasore are 26 years old male and 29 years old male. Both are Surat returnees.

Official sources added the three persons tested positive while being in quarantine and are asymptomatic.

Earlier in the day, one positive case was reported from Ganjam district.

Till yet, the number of active cases is 145. While 62 recovered from the infection, two died of the disease.
