Bhubaneswar: Number of COVID-19 cases in Odisha rose to 56 as a person tested positive for the virus, Health & Family Welfare Department sources said today.

As many as 564 samples were tested during the last 24 hours. While the number of active cases stood at 37, a total of 18 patients were cured and tested negative for the virus, sources said.

Death toll remains at 1 as an elderly person had died of COVID-19 in the state.
