COVID-19: These hospitals declared as fever clinics in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: In view of rising numbers of COVID-19 positive cases in Odisha, the state government has declared as many as 16 private hospitals as ‘fever clinics’ in Bhubaneswar.

As many private clinical establishments are yet to establish separate fever clinics for screening COVID-19 cases, there is a higher possibility that patients suffering from other ailments may get infection after visiting the private hospitals.

As part of precautionary measure, the Health & Family Welfare Department has directed the private hospitals to make a separate setup to attend to the patients complaining of fever or flu like symptoms.

“General public having Flu like symptoms are advised to visit only the following private clinics, not others to avoid the risk of cross contamination,” stated a notification by Directorate of Health Services on Thursday.

Following hospitals under Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) have been declared as Fever Clinics:

1. AMRI Hospital
2. Nilachal Hospital
3. Kalinga Hospital
4. Sunshine Hospital
5. Sparsh Hospital
6. Bluewheel Hospital
7. Care Hospital
8. Aswini Aditya Hospital
9. Bhubaneswar Hospital
10. BMRI Institute & Nursing Home
11. Padma Hospital
12. Panda Nursing Home
13. Maa Shakti Hospital
14. Gastro Kidney Care
15. Vivekananda Hospital
16. Usthi Hospital

Besides, the patients can visit the Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar, RGH in Rourkela, and any other District Headquarters Hospital (DGG) where separate fever clinics and triage facilities have been established to fight against COVID-19.
