COVID-19: This Odisha village declared containment zone

Cuttack: The Khanduali village under Athagarh Block in Cuttack district was declared as the containment zone after 16 new COVID-19 positive cases were detected in the village.

The village under Radhakrushnapur Gram Panchayat will remain under containment zone for a week.

The decision came after as many as 16 persons were found positive for Coronavirus following test conducted at a temporary camp at the village on Friday.

Following detection of fresh cases, the district administration decided to put the village under containment zone. The new infectees have been kept in home isolation for treatment.

The testing will be held again at the village after conducting contact tracing of positive patients, the district administration informed.
