COVID-19: This police station in Odisha to remain shut for 48 hrs

Rayagada: The district administration today directed the Rayagada Police Station to remain shut for 48 hours after some jawans deployed at the police station tested positive for COVID-19 today.
Rayagada SP Saravana Vivek M directed the officials of the Rayagada PS to set up a temporary camp outside the police station to lodge the complaints of people.

When some jawans of the police station complained of fever, cold and cough, their swab samples were sent for tests. Today the reports mentioned 12 jawans engaged at the PS tested positive for the deadly virus.

Earlier in the day, Fire Service personnel sanitised the police station and the rooms where the jawans were staying.

Also, six jawans of CRPF fourth battalion in the district tested positive for the virus.

As per the latest reports, all the COVID positive jawans have been admitted to the JKPur COVID Hospital.
