COVID 3rd wave likely to hit Maharashtra in 2-3 weeks; Odisha well prepared: Top official
Bhubaneswar: Chief of Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) Dr CBK Mohanty today informed that third wave of COVID-19 is likely to arrive in Maharashtra in next two to three weeks.
“Experts have predicted that the third wave will arrive in Maharashtra in next two to three weeks. We are also prepared for the same. However, it is just a projection and predictions do not always come true. In facts, experts are giving different opinions,” the top health official said.
He further informed till June 7, only 63 cases of Delta variant of the virus, which was first identified in India, were detected globally. Of the 63 cases, six were reported from India.
“There is nothing to panic as we are well prepared to tackle any eventuality,” he added
