COVID cases in Odisha: 1897 more test positive; Active cases near 6K

Bhubaneswar: Sharp spike in daily COVID-19 cases in Odisha continues unabated as 1897 more persons, including 258 children below 18 years of age, tested positive for the virus during the last 24 hours.

Out of the 1897 cases, 1106 were detected in quarantine while 791 are local contact cases.

Khurda district registered highest 669 fresh infections, followed by Sundargarh (262) and Cuttack (148).

With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state reached 1059773 with 5739 active cases.
