Bhubaneswar: In a bid to contain the spread of COVID-19, Outpatient Department (OPD) of two government hospitals-- MKCG Medical College and Hospital at Berhampur and Malkangiri District Headquarters Hospital-- have been sealed.

At MKCG Hospital, only referral and emergency cases will be admitted. The main gate of the campus will be guarded by police personnel. Only emergency patients and staff will be allowed to enter the campus, an official order said.

Except for the main entrance, all other entrances of MKCG MCH will be closed with proper barricading. Only one attendant per patient will be allowed, the order added.

On the other hand, OPD and IPD of the Malkangiri District Headquarters Hospital have been sealed due to detection of a COVID-19 case at the hospital.
