COVID vaccination of pregnant women after July 15 in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: COVID-19 vaccination of expectant mothers in Odisha will begin after July 15, informed Health and Family Welfare Department Director  Bijay Panigrahi today.

Speaking to mediapersons, Panigrahi said the state Government’s guidelines regarding vaccination of pregnant women will be issued today while drive will commence after July 15.

ANM, ASHA and Anganwadi workers and other health workers have been directed to complete training on the same before the date, he added.

The official further informed that 1.73 lakh Covaxin doses arrived this morning. Inoculation has been halted in five districts in the state today due to shortage of vaccine.
