CPM worker stabbed near Puja pandal

Bhubaneswar, Sept 9:

Bipin Mohanty, a CPI-M worker sustained serious injuries afer he was attacked with a knife by a local goon, Rabi Patra, near Indradhanu Market on Monday evening while he was trying to stop Patra from creating trouble at the local Ganesh Puja pandal.

Mohanty, a resident of Jayadev Vihar under Nayapalli police station, has sustained injuries on his lower left abdomen and left hand . Mohanty was rushed to the Capital Hospital for treatment.

Mohanty later filed an FIR at Nayapalli police station stating that Rabi alias Tiger of Saliasahi, who has two warrants pending against him, attacked him when he tried to stop Patra from creating disturbance at the puja pandal.

Police are investigating into the case and looking for the accused.
