Cremation of non-Puri residents not to be allowed at Swargadwar

Puri: Cremation of non-Puri residents will not be allowed at the Swargadwar here from April 26 in view of the second wave of COVID-19, informed Puri SP Samarth Verma today.

Asthi Visarjan and other funeral related rituals will not be allowed near the sea here, the Collector said.

Bodies of COVID-19 patients in Puri district will be cremated at Mangalanadi ghat, the official added.
