Crime Branch arrests broker involved in sex racket in Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) of Crime Branch today arrested a youth for his alleged involvement in running a sex racket in Bhubaneswar. The accused, Prasant Kumar Pradhan alias Bulu was working as a broker for Panchannan Padhi, his wife Preeti Padhi and Keshab Sahoo, who were arrested earlier for running sex racket.

Acting on basis of reliable information, the STF took Prasant Kumar, a resident of Gothapatna in Khordha, into its custody while attempting to hand over two women to customers at Baramunda bus stand. The sleuths rescued the two women and seized one Bullet motorcycle and other incriminating materials from the possession of Prasant Kumar.

Sources said the accused will be forwarded to the court of SDJM, Bhubaneswar.

In this case as of now total six accused have been arrested and total 11 victims were rescued from the clutch of the traffickers.
