Crorepati Anganwadi worker arrested by Odisha Vigilance

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance today arrested Namita Dalai, Anganwadi worker, ward No. 9, Berhampur Municipal Corporation on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to her known sources of income.

Officers of the anti-corruption agency had yesterday conducted simultaneous searches at her residential house located at Laxmi Nrusingha Nagar, 1st lane, Berhampur, another house in the same lane, house at Ganesh Nagar, 4th lane, Berhampur, two apartments in Bhubaneswar, and her relative’s house at Dalia Street, Berhampur on the strength of search warrant issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur.

The anganwadi worker was found in possession of assets worth Rs 2.25 crore.

During the raids, the following movable and immovable assets possessed by Dalai and her family members were unearthed.
