Culinary delights from 16 countries, 24 states to tingle taste buds at .FEST

Bhubaneswar: Residents of the capital city as well food enthusiasts will have the opportunity to indulge their taste buds in the culinary delights from 16 countries and 24 states of India at .FEST, scheduled to be held at IDCO Exhibition Ground from January 15 to 29.

The second edition of the .FEST is being organised in the city here to create an environment of festivity during the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup-2023.

Around 80–90 varieties of international cuisines from the 16 hockey world cup participating countries will be served in international stalls for locals and tourists from 6 pm to 12 midnight. A total of six international stalls and 24 state stalls including that of Odisha will present national and regional delicacies to the people. The event will also feature four government stalls with cuisine participation from Millet Mission and Koraput Café among others.

The event is being curated by Hemant Oberoi, the Executive Chef of the Taj Hotels, with more than 42 years of experience. The International Food Festival at .FEST is being organised in association with Hotel & Restaurant Association of Odisha (HRAO).

The authorities have banned single-use plastic during .FEST and will use biodegradable materials instead, sources said.

The first edition of .FEST was held during the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup in 2018. The festival was curated to provide a never-before experience to the residents of Bhubaneswar.
