Curfew imposed in Odisha’s Cuttack city

Cuttack: The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) today imposed a partial curfew in the city in addition to the lockdown restrictions for coronavirus outbreak.

As per an official order, all non-essential shops, whether wholesale or retail, are allowed to function between 7 AM and 6 PM.

However, this time restriction does not apply to shops selling essential items, which would continue to function at regular hours, the order said.

Essential shops which were allowed to open at regular hours involves only medicine shops and emergency services like electricity and water supply, the order added.

All the shops barring the entities that deal with essentials should stop their operations by 6 pm, the CMC said in a tweet, adding that the 7 pm to 7 am curfew shall be strictly implemented in the city.
